Description
I did a painting of a collection of Nantucket Baskets I made under the direction of Martha Lawrence at her home in FL. I even got to make the Rims on the larger baskets. The smallest basket is a 4.5" oval was done on my own at my home in FL this summer. I cried through making the smaller basket as I was mourning my mother's passing and even though I didn't make it with Martha Lawrence, she was very sympathetic towards me and I felt her grace from a distance. I was varnishing the baskets and felt to do a painting of this 2015 collection so I set them up on my back porch near an old weathervane.
